Normanby Hall Country Park
A terrific day out for all the family. Wonderful woodland walks, superb Regency house, fantastic gardens and a fascinating Farm Museum. The house, designed by Robert Smirke, is set in 300 acres of beautiful parkland, woodland, deer park and gardens. In the highly acclaimed Victorian Walled Garden the trained fruit, heritage vegetables and range of glasshouses evoke a bygone age.

In the Farming Museum discover re-creations of an agricultural worker’s kitchen and backyard, a saddler’s, a blacksmith’s and a cobbler’s workshop. View old agricultural machinery and transport displays that will take you from ploughing to harvest, capturing images of rural life in North Lincolnshire in years gone by.

Normanby Hall is a Regency Mansion designed by Sir Robert Smirke. It was home to the Sheffield family, formerly Dukes of Buckingham and owners of Buckingham Palace. The elegance and grandeur of the Hall remain for you to discover. Fine examples of period furniture are displayed in the Regency, Victorian and Edwardian styles. You could book Normanby Hall for your wedding or business function. Please contact our advisors on 01724 720588. They’ll ensure that you experience the splendours of ‘your own’ stately home for the day.

You and your family can escape the stresses of everyday life in 300 acres of parkland. Stroll through the woodland, stop by the duck ponds or extend your trail through the Deer Park. Experience the changing season: from stunning rhododendrons in early summer through to glorious autumn colour. Enjoy the beautiful pleasure gardens, with superb herbaceous borders in the secret and sunken gardens and wonderful displays of naturalised bulbs in early spring.

New for 2006, see a wide range of native and migrant butterflies in the nectar-rich butterfly border to the south of the Hall. Look out for the park’s original features, such as the ice house, Victorian laundry, coach house and stables. Relax and enjoy refreshments in the tearoom. High quality food is served. Visit the gift shop, it’s fully stocked with great gifts, souvenirs and produce fresh from the Victorian walled garden.

An exciting adventure playground provides hours of fun for children. They’ll enjoy making friends with the ducks and peacocks. Relax while the children play and enjoy a family picnic on the impressive lawns.
